Northern Lights!

Hello Readers! It’s February, a new month, and that means new things here at Kodomo no Mori! First off, we danced to this month’s ILH Original song, “Helping Hand”. The dance is about helping others who are in need. In addition to some cool dance moves, we did handshakes, high fives and even a big huddle at the end!

Then, we moved on to today’s topic. For February, we are going to learn many things about the country, Greenland. Did you know? Greenland is one of the best places to see Auroras! There you can see the Aurora Borealis, also known as the “Northern Lights”. After learning about them, we made our own Auroras using crayons and thin, black paint. We drew our auroras first with crayons, and then painted the black sky over them. The colors of the crayons stayed on top and had a nice effect! Nice coloring everyone!
