Good afternoon!
In today’s lesson we continued spoke about this month’s country of Colombia. This was a great way to talk about some exotic animals and the Amazon Rainforest. We started by singing and dancing to the “Monkey Dance”. Next, we looking at some familiar animals such as the “Black Bear” and the “Flamingo”. Then we looked at some new animals only found in the Amazon Rainforest including the “Coati” which is similar to a “Raccoon” and the “Condor” which is one of the biggest flying birds.
For our game today, we played “Amazon Rainforest Adventure”. In this game we separated into two teams and each round we had one team hide pictures of Amazon Rainforest animals around the classroom. We used the phrase “I found a…” and an animal after finding a new animal. Excellent work everyone!
